A term appointment may be made where there is a need for the temporary employment of a faculty member and/or where only temporary or contingent funding for the position is available. 

Types of non-continuing appointments include:

  1. Chairs (and CRCs)

  2. Post Retirement Appointment

  3. Sessional Instructor Appointments

  4. Term Librarian and Archivist

  5. Term Teaching-Research Faculty Appointments

  6. University Research Associate

  7. Visiting Faculty Appointment (Paid)
